Attention all FunStackers!, It’s time to release your inner adventurer and visit Newcastle Climbing Centre! The climbing centre is the premier indoor climbing venue for Tyneside and the North East and one of the best indoor climbing venues in the UK, with an internal height of 15 metres and over 1200 square metres of climbing walls for roped climbing and bouldering. They also have courses suitable for everyone’s ability so whether you want a taster session or some personal coaching. If you’re over eighteen you can book a personal climb (which means no supervision) but those under eighteen do need to be guided. Depending on the package you choose and how long you want to climb the cost does change, but no matter what time you spend there will be worth every penny!

Where can I go climbing in Newcastle?

Located in the former church of St Marks, the Newcastle climbing centre provides a spectacular climbing environment, just five minutes from Newcastle’s city centre.

The climbing centre has lots of different exciting bundles for all ages and events. They provide for kids’ birthday parties and for the kids who want to expand their experience in climbing the climbing centre carter for kids aged between 5 and 14 years old with their kids climbing class the clubs run every day of the week and are a great experience for kids wanting to improve and learn new skills!

  • 1200m of climbing walls for both roped climbing and bouldering
  • Climbers must be 18 or older to complete registration, and children between the age of 14 and 17 must first complete an assessment course
  • On a course, all equipment you need is provided
  • If you have an experienced friend you can be signed in under their supervision
