It was in this picturesque city that tragic events, an inquisitive mind, and conversations with other writers led the young author to conjure the first fragments of her creature. Extending over four atmospheric floors and complete with a Frankenstein themed escape room, visitors to the House can immerse themselves in Mary Shelley’s complex and often calamitous past whilst they uncover the true story behind one of the world’s favourite creatures.
