The castle is built on the original roman site of Carlisle so the castle is steeped in history that goes back nearly 2000 years and you can learn all about it by visiting and seeing it all for yourself?

Just outside the centre of Carlisle, it's only a 15 minute walk from the train station!

Whilst there make sure you don’t miss Queen Mary’s Tower, the prisoners carvings, the Warden’ Apartment! Plus there so much more to see!
