Why should I visit Antrim Castle & Gardens?

Visitors of Antrim Castle & Gardens can journey into the past as they walk around the magnificent setting of the castle and grounds, visiting beautiful features such as the Large Parterre, Her Ladyship's Pleasure Garden and Yew Tree Pond!

Antrim Castle & Gardens are a historical get! Visitors will find nothing like these 400-year-old gardens anywhere else in Northern Ireland. A recent £6m restoration project, which received generous support from Heritage Lottery Fund, has now preserved this historic site for generations to come!

Within the heart of the Gardens is a unique visitor experience, the refurbished Clotworthy House! Guests can visit the Garden Heritage Exhibition where they can read about the history of the gardens and the story of the Massereene family. This provides a fantastic opportunity to come along and learn about the garden’s history and how the loves of the key family members intertwine with the development of Antrim town and the surrounding areas.

Once finished exploring and taking in the atmosphere of Antrim Castle & Gardens, visitors must make sure to visit and sample some of the many culinary delights in the Garden Coffee Shop with its delicious treat menu which is perfect after a day of exploring the grounds! There is also a visitor shop where there is a unique range of goods with a distinct focus on the garden.
