River Riders offer bike hire for one or two day trips from three separate locations along the length of the river. The 70 km Te Awa cycle way is popular with walkers and cyclists from all over New Zealand and beyond, and is the perfect way to experience of the mightiest rivers in Oceania.

The river is New Zealand’s longest, flowing from its most northerly point at Ngāruawāhia to the huge Lake Karapiro in the far south where it ends. Bikes can be hired from Ngāruawāhia, Cambridge or Hamilton and are subject to availability.

Hard tail – 1HR: $40pp / 2HR: $60pp / 4HR: $80pp / 8HR: $120pp

Full Suspension – 4HR: $100pp / 8HR: 140pp

Standard bikes – 1HR: $20pp / 2HR: $30pp / 4HR: $40pp / 8HR: $60pp
