Art-K provides children with a rounded art education in drawing, painting and 3D modelling. Our art class environment is encouraging, inclusive and non-competitive. This allows every student to go at their own pace, developing their unique skill-set. Over time, our students grow significantly in confidence, expression and creativity. In both the children and adult sessions, we will provide you with all the materials you need as well as expert advice in a calm, friendly environment. Our aim is for the children to explore and experiment with a range of paints like watercolour, acrylics, pastels, inks, oils etc; to develop their drawing skills in many different ways; try out many 3D activities; and above all keep them happy, motivated and continually developing. The projects are all age-related as we understand that at different ages children have different capabilities and interests. We incorporate exercises such as visual memory, visual perceptual skills and parallel drawing for the younger children to build up their visual vocabulary. As their artistic skills develop, and their own natural creativity, it’s lovely to see them gain the freedom and confidence to express themselves.

Chicken Run

8 - 11 August, 2022
For its first feature Aardman studios has re-written the WWII POW experience as an Orwellian satire, albeit with laughs. So, Stalag 17 becomes a battery farm and the camp commandant farmer Tweedy's domineering wife, while in the hutches, Ginger rallies her fellow hens to fly their coop. Though the characters aren't as established as Wallace and Gromit and the feature length running time slows the action. For Aardman this is very half baked.
