Calling all petrolheads! Make sure you visit the Nelson Classic Car Museum on the South Island. Visitors can see a magnificent private collection of over 150 classic cars, including a 1915 Ford Model T, a 1925 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, and a 1965 Shelby Cobra. The museum also has a collection of motorcycles, including a 1912 Indian Twin, a 1923 Harley-Davidson, and a 1951 Vincent Black Shadow. The cars are displayed in various dioramas that recreate scenes from the period in which they were built, such as a 1920s garage, a 1950s diner, and a drive-in movie theatre.
Along with all of this, visitors can sit down and have a bite to eat at their Little Engine Eatery. This fantastic bistro caters to car lovers, but also provides a lovely café experience, no matter what your interests are – with a wholesome, tasty, made-on-the-premises menu. So, what are you waiting for? Make the most of your next day off and visit Nelsons Classic Car Museum!
