If you are looking for a short introduction or family experience, Strathblane Falconry is well worth a visit! Home to 20 magnificent birds of prey including falcons, hawks, owls and a Steppe eagle, they offer a range of classes, demonstrations and corporate days out. You will learn about all aspects of working with the birds of prey, from the basics of falconry through to handling and flying. Individual sessions start from £40 per person or the popular fixed price group or family session from £90 for those planning a birthday party or memorable day out.

Where can I try falconry near to Glasgow?

Strathblane Falconry is situated on the grounds of the Strathblane Country House. The spectacular countryside makes a fantastic venue for the bird of prey centre and it's only a 30-minute drive from Glasgow city centre.

For walkers, the Campsie Hills are close by and free for you to explore if you want to stretch your legs after your time at the falconry. For whisky fans, the Glengoyne Distillery (which has been in operation since 1833) is only a few miles up the road, so why not book a whisky tasting while you’re in the area!
