Family fun at the Glasgow Science Centre

For a family day out that will entertain the children while out travelling. The Glasgow Science Centre was built for this exact reason. Specifically to entertain children, teaching them all about science and technology. There is an impressive amount of activities to cater for all age groups. For the younger children under the age of 7, there is the “Big explorer area” which let them operate a makeshift cargo ship and a crane. For even younger children, there is a soft play area, specifically catered to younger children.

How can I find the Glasgow Science centre?

The facility is located at the Pacific quay on Glasgow's south side, with subway, train and bus routes to this area.

There are multiple exhibits throughout the year, with some there all year round. Like Sci-Fi Sundays. Where classic Sci-Fi Movies are played from 7 pm on, tickets for the movie also cover you for a full tour of the building. Nothing better to do on a rainy Sunday when trying to keep your younger ones entertained!

  • Full disabled access
  • Open from 10 am to 5 pm daily in Summer hours
  • Open on weekends from 10 am to 5 pm during Autumn hours
