Ahhhh ghost! Do you enjoy ghost stories or even ghost hunting? Head down to Haunted Happenings in Leeds and take part in their ghost hunting experience, where you and your group are locked in for the night, investigating all accessible areas of the former workhouse, known today as the ‘Thackray Medical Museum’. Your experience will start off with a group tour of the location with the lights on before you split yourself off into vulnerable numbers to investigate the many reported hauntings here. Disembodied cries, items being moved and full apparitions have all been experienced here – to steel yourself for a night of watching and waiting and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see some supernatural activity!
Where can I go ghost hunting in Leeds?
The building was once the old Union Workhouse built to house nearly 800 of the poorest people, who worked their short lives in harsh and terrible conditions. At some point in its history, it was converted into a mental asylum before becoming a medical museum.
