Are you an avid gardener? Or do you love scenic gardens and the relaxing auras that they bring? If so, then Glenfinart Walled Garden is the place for you! This listed site was originally built in the 1800s as a garden for the kitchen of the Glenfinart estate. It is now in the hands of Ardentinny Community Trust since they purchased the site back in 2012. The main portion of the garden in its previous life was covered by a curved wall. Nowadays the garden is split into five different sections. These sections include an Orchard with different types of Apple and Pear trees, A public grass area and a sensory reflective garden.

How do I get to Glenfinart Walled Garden?

From Glasgow, take the train to Gourock from Central station. Then board a ferry towards Dunoon, then catch the 489 bus to Sligrachan.

The garden encourages visitors to bring a picnic with them and enjoy the beautiful scenery around the site. However, the garden also sells vegetables and fruits to visitors in different seasons throughout the year, so be sure to try some of the tastiest homegrown vegetables and fruits on offer! The garden is only open during its peak season, from April to October, from 1 pm to 4.30 pm.
