Gliding Experience in Aberdeen

Do you think you have the stomach for heights? Want to test your mettle and take in gorgeous views of the Cairngorms National Park? If this sounds up your street then come and check out Deeside Gliding Club in Aberdeen! Here, visitors can silently glide their way through the clouds and enjoy jaw-dropping views of the surrounding area!

What can I expect to do during a gliding experience?

Visitors of Deeside Gliding Centre will hop in and fly in a two-seated glider, accompanied by a fully trained instructor. When up in the air guests will earn about how the glider planes work, enjoy the gorgeous scenery around them, and take pictures of their memorable experience!

First-time visitors of the Deeside Gliding Centre will get the chance to choose a trial flight, with this, guests can get used to gliding on their first experience of it and also get 1 month of membership to the club. This means after the first go, visitors can return for a second time with member’s rates!

The gliders are launched via Aerotow, which involves an aircraft flying ahead of the glider and pulling it up into the sky. Once airborne the glider will be released. The gliders at Deeside Gliding Club are capable of soaring through the sky for hours without landing. The record for the highest glider flight in the UK was set here!
