Have you always wanted to try your hand at skiing, but have never found the opportunity? Or maybe you’re a skiing pro itching to hit the slopes in the off-season. Well, you’re in luck! At Silksworth Sports Complex & Ski Slope, the artificial surface enables you to go skiing close to home, all year round! As one of the UK’s premier outdoor slopes, you’re certain to be provided with quality instructions and coaching in both skiing and snowboarding.

Is skiing dependant on the weather?

Not at Silksworth Sports Complex & Ski Slope! Here they actually use an artificial surface, enabling you to enjoy the thrills of winter sports all year round, no matter what the weather is like.

The slopes consist of 2 smaller nursery slopes and a 160m main hill. All of which are fully fitted with floodlights and ski lifts. The enormous main hill also has a mist system! The centre really is ideal for all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to national-level racers. Lessons are run by highly qualified instructors and are available for skiers of all abilities. Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities can hone their skills in the off-season. The experienced instructors ensure all the sessions are safe, fun and informative.

If you’re looking for something other than skiing or snowboarding, then the centre also boasts a fully-equipped athletics track as well as outdoor, artificial football pitches for you to enjoy.

Sessions on the slope last 60 minutes.

  • Tuesday – 11:00 to 17:30
  • Wednesday – 11:00 to 17:30
  • Thursday – 11:00 to 17:30
  • Friday – 11:00 to 20:00
  • Saturday – 16:00 – 17:00
  • Sunday – 12:00 to 17:00

You must book your session online in advance.
