Ready… Set… Go Ape!!! At Margam in Wales, you have the opportunity to tackle the UK’s biggest Tarzan swing which will have you free-falling for 6 metres at the only Go Ape in Wales. As part of the challenge you will be faced with a wide variety of obstacles including climbing and balancing over 1,000 acres of parkland, it’s easy to see why it has been referred to as “A rollercoaster in trees”. Where is Go Ape in Wales?
In Margam, there is a country park that not only has beautiful landscapes and wildlife, but also a beautiful gothic castle that was built in 1830, so you can learn about the fascinating history as one of the frequent visitors is accredited with being one of the world’s first photographers. There is also an orangery in the park as it was made to house hundreds of different kinds of citrus trees. No one knows where the trees came from originally but they are rumoured to have been a gift to the crown that the Mansel family claimed after the ship carrying them was wrecked off the coast near Margam.
