Would you like to learn more about one of Scotland’s most famous regiments? Then Gordon Highlanders Museum is the place to go. The regiment has fought in almost every major battle that the British army took part in and where known for its bravery, discipline and professionalism.
The museum tells the story of the regiment from 1794 to 1994. Within the extensive Armoury, you will see a display of weapons and medals from the Napoleonic times to the present day. The display includes 11 Victoria Crosses. The museum has also built a complete replica Moffat Trench, where guides will tell the story of the Gordon Highlanders during the First World War, whilst you experience what’s it like to be in a trench.
