This museum is located inside the General Post Office, which is steeped in Irish history. This is the same site where the 1916 rebellion took place. When Irish Republicans took on the British Army in head to head combat. This rebellion failed but eventually led to the formation of The Republic of Ireland as we know it now.

Where can I find the GPO in Dublin?

The facility is located on O Connell Street, a short walk from Connolly Train Station and Busaras Bus Station.

The museum features some of the latest immersive technology and aims to educate and inform its visitors in the most interactive way possible. There are also guided tours available, with small to medium-sized groups catered for. The museum also hosts regular exhibitions and is a regular fit for students studying the topic for exams. Adult admission is €17.
