Journey into the past on the Helston steam train railway! With this authentically restored heritage train service, you’ll be travelling the tracks that once brought commerce and holidaymakers through Cornwall a hundred years ago! Taking you through the stunning Cornish countryside towards both the south and lizard coast, the trip takes around 25 minutes, so if you’re looking for a shorter activity to slot into your day out the Helston railway might be a perfect choice!

They have trains dating all the way from 1929 to 1959 with histories of their own. While some ran along this same railway line in their day, others come from as far away as Edinburgh, making for an interesting and diverse collection of rolling stock. Whether you’re looking for a great family day out or interested in the history of one of the UK’s biggest industrial advancements, a train through the Helston railway line is a ticket well worth buying!
