HMS Unicorn in Dundee

Set sail on the historical HMS Unicorn! If you’re looking for an intriguing journey into the past then climb aboard and learn about the incredible history of this iconic ship! Almost 200 years old, the HMS Unicorn remains the most original ship in the world. Constructed as a 46-gun frigate, the famous battleship arrived in Dundee in 1873 and was used as a training ship for the Royal Navy Reserves until the 1960s.

This is a great activity for anyone with a passion for naval history and you will be able to spend a quality afternoon onboard learning about the boat’s construction, the role it played during the World Wars and its use as a training ship until being opened to the public over 100 years after its launch.
