Calling all funstackers who love relaxing and spa treatments if you visit Laugarvatn Fontana where you can enjoy the healing powers of the geothermal water; soak in a natural pool, listen to the bubbling hot spring in the steam rooms and for those who wanna do an adventure take a dip in the refreshing lake. The warm pools and hot pots each have different; depths, sizes, and temperatures which is just like the three traditional steam rooms. The hot water has been used for cooking, bathing and steaming the village since 1929 so nearly 100 years.
Why shoud I go to Fontana to test out their baths?
Fontana is open all year roughly from 11:30 AM – 7/9 PM depending on the day but it does change throughout the year but be sure to check the opening hours in advance! The activity is free for kids 12 and under but they do need to be accompanied by an adult. For people aged; 13-16 it costs 2000 ISK, 17-66 3950 ISK and for anyone aged 67 and older it is 2000 ISK. You are also able to rent a bathrobe, towel and swimsuit as well. If you want to have a one of a kind day that you will treasure forever!
