Kiloran Beach on the Isle of Colonsay

Kiloran Bay is the most popular of Colonsay’s beaches – it’s a beautiful golden sandy beach that looks out onto the Ross of Mull sitting in the azure blue of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s stunning whatever the season! Kiloran Bay is enclosed by other iconic Colonsay sights, such as the peak of Carnan Eoin (North of the beach). There are also some ancient caves to explore at both ends of the bay if that’s your thing – amazingly, they have been found to contain proof of Neolithic life!

There’s a viewpoint at the car park that gives you a great panoramic view of the area and this spectacular beach.

Where can I find Kiloran Beach?

It’s located on the north-western coast of Kiloran (it’s very easily accessible from the road).
