Lake Tekapo Farm Tours in New Zealand

With our small group farm excursions, you can get a personal look at actual New Zealand high country farms. This is a farm excursion unlike any other, complete with animal feeding and excellent photo possibilities! Daily departures are many. Your guide will take you through interesting facts and information about living and working in the Tekapo area. Both were created around the turn of the century and have a total land area of 25,000 acres (10117 hectares) that works as one enormous high country farm.

The tour will start and end at the Balmoral Farmyard, where you will be checked in by your guide. Once everything has been set up – you are ready to go! The first stop will be at the Irishman Creek Hut where you will learn the history around the region. Interesting facts and the abnormally large pinecones – you’ll learn a lot at this stop.
