Laphroaig Distillery

Calling all whisky lovers! Come along and join in on a tour of the Laphroaig Distillery and check out how the magic is worked behind the scenes to create this incredible whisky. Laphroaig is a single-malt Scotch whisky distillery located on the southern coast of Islay, Scotland, with a distinctive smoky flavour, due to the use of heavily peated barley and its proximity to the sea. The distillery was founded in 1815 and is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland.

Why should I visit the Laphroaig Distillery in Islay?

The Laphroaig Distillery tour is a must for everyone who likes a smokey dram. Taste whiskies from three different casks and bottle your favourite!

During the Laphroaig Distillery Warehouse 1 Tasting tour, visitors can join the team and taste whisky from three different casks. After getting a taste of the casks, visitors can then choose which one they preferred and hand-fill their own 250ml bottle to take home with them. After visitors are finished with the tour, the team of staff will make sure there is space in the visitor centre for guests to come in and check out the distillery’s shop and see some of the other products on offer. Laphroaig is the only Scotch whisky to carry a Royal Warrant, having been granted one by King Charles in 1994
