Leather Clutch Bag Making Taster Course near Brighton

With 8 leather colour options for you to choose from, you will definitely create a bag that you will love! The colour options are black, tan brown, dark green, navy, purple, taupe, bright red or teal. You will also have your choice of gold, silver or antique brass for the metal component of the bag.

Where can I find a bag making workshop in the West Sussex area?

The Rebecca Jane Leather Studio is ready to teach you the ins and outs of leather bag making as part of this 3.5-hour course.

The key skills learned in this course are as follows:

  • How to score onto the leather
  • How to use stabilisers
  • How to use different tools for cutting leather
  • How to insert a zip
  • How to make a tassel and attach it to the hardware
  • How to polish leather
  • Sew leather on a domestic or industrial sewing machine
  • Professional bag making techniques

Upon arrival at the workshop, everything will be prepared in advance. This means the components for the stunning bag you are about to make will already be cut and ready for you to assemble (the fun part). You won’t need to bring much, just your lunch and snacks as well as a camera and notepad if you wish to document your project.
