Poole’s Cavern and Solomon’s Temple

Set just outside the Peak District National Park, Poole’s Cavern will have you in awe at the beauty of this ancient cave. The limestone tunnels are surrounded by hoards of stalagmites and stalactites that have been forming over millions of years. The cave is an excellent addition to a day out and is something truly special that you won’t be forgetting anytime soon. You will be guided through the enormous cave by a professional and experienced guide who gives legends and history of the cave along your journey.

As if this want enough, the country park has lovely walks through the Grinlow Woods and up to Solomon’s Temple. A building with a viewpoint providing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The park and the cavern combine to make the perfect place for an outdoorsy day with something a bit different from the usual and are sure to keep those of all ages entertained.

The cave is kept at 7 degrees centigrade so remember to wrap up warm!
