Relax Around Nature at RSPB Nature Reserve in Titchwell

If you’re looking to get outdoors, then we’ve got the perfect day out for your stack! Titchwell Marsh is a spectacular nature reserve, where you’ll find an amazing array of wildlife and diverse landscapes, from lush greenery to white sandy beaches that are guaranteed to leave you feeling refreshed.

Where can I find Titchwell's nature reserve?

Follow the brown signposting, eastwards along the A149 through Thornham village. There's also a bus stop outside the reserve serviced by the 36 coastlines.

Between the villages of Titchwell and Thornham on the north coast of Norfolk, Titchwell Marsh is home to an amazing array of birdlife and wildlife habitats. Renowned for its impressive gathering of birds, coming from all over Europe and as far as Africa, you’ll find a variety of resident species and visiting birds. Listen for the bell-like callings of the Bearded tit, the booming calls of the Bittern wandering the reedbeds in spring, and the amazing sky-dancing displays of the Marsh harrier soaring above. The nature reserve also acts as important habitat for other species of animals, with otters and water voles among the sightings recorded by visitors.

There will be plenty of opportunities for keen bird watchers, as along the way you’ll find numerous spotting scopes and all the information you’ll need to identify and learn about the different species that make the coast their home. Although the reserve is wild and natural, there is a visitor centre with a cafe, shop, picnic areas and an information desk to help you get started.
