If you’re looking to get your teeth into some art and culture in New Zealand don’t look further than this Waiheke Island Art Walk! The walk takes 5 hours and goes at a leisurely pace so you can enjoy the art and beautiful island at your own pace. Along the walk you you can expect expert guiding to tell you about the art and introduce you to artists and the work around the island.

Where does the Waiheke Island Art Tour start?

There are two start options for the tour; 9:45am at the Ferry Wharf, Matiatia, Waiheke Island or 10:00am at the Community Art Gallery, Ocean View Road, Oneroa (ideal if you are already on Waiheke)

On the walk there is lots to see! You will be brought to galleries in Oneroa and introduced to artists and gallery staff. You will be taken round a local sculpture park to see lots of outdoor art and get to visit sculpture studios and even an artisan shoemaker! Look forward to the walk through the Atawhai-Whenua Forest & Bird Reserve as well! Included in the ticket price is lunch at the Church Bay Studio, the home of painter Gabriella Lewenz.
