Time to knock off paddle boarding from your bucket list and go to the Lake district to try it out. Paddleboarding isn’t just a great way to spend the day with friends and family, it’s also a wonderful way to explore a new place! This serene activity is a great way to switch off from the outside world while you’re out on the water. The experience as a whole should last around 3 hours and all the equipment is provided, so all you need to bring is a bright attitude and leave the rest to the team. Before you know it you’ll be paddleboarding with confidence on one of the most gorgeous lakes this country has to offer.
Windermere is the largest natural lake in England and is absolutely breathtaking and is based in one of the most popular holiday sites in the whole country- the lake district. Established as a national park 70 years ago, the Lake District has been a staple of the British countryside for far longer than that. Filled with iconic natural landmarks such as the Grizedale forest (which has a Go Ape) and 9 waterfalls including Aira Force (which you can visit on a guided walk if you want to see it up close), there’s a reason the British public have been holidaying here for centuries.
