RSBP Saltholme Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre in Middlesbrough

RSPB Saltholme is a beautiful nature reserve across the river from Middlesbrough with spectacular views of the the iconic transporter bridge and across the whole area. Due to their modern visitor’s centre, cafe, and amazing reserve, this is a great place to visit for family freindly walks and casual birdwatching. If you’re lucky you can spot lapwings, yellow wagtails, and even a peregrine falcon!

Where is RSPB Saltholme?

The RSPB Saltholme Nature Reserve is just north of Middlesbrough, across the River Tees an dis the perfect place to do some bird watching!

They have multiple walking trails, hides, and even provide guided walks round the reserve where you can bring or rent some binoculars and you can be shown the best spots to see the wildlife. And when you’re done with the walk you can come back to the visitors centre and cafe to grab a drink and ask any questions you might have while the kids play in the play area!
