Get Lost in a Maze in York

Prepare to be “a-maized”… York Maze is an award winning fun filled, day out famous for its giant Maize Maze. The Maize Maze is a living, growing maze made from over 1 million maize plants covering an area larger than 8 Wembley football pitches! It is the largest maze in Britain, and one of the largest mazes in the whole world. Each new season’s crop brings with it a new maze design ready to baffle visitors old and new alike. Navigate your way through the maze to find the six challenge points. Solve the puzzles and there are prizes to be won! For an even more challenging time in the maze, try to solve the Morse Code Conundrum! But the puzzling fun doesn’t end there; York Maze also boasts many other curious maze-based attractions for you to puzzle over.

How long should I spend at York Maze?

You should allow about 1 to 1.5 hours to navigate your way around the maze itself. Then you should allow at least another three or four hours to enjoy all the other activities, attractions and shows on the site. It really is a whole day out!

With over 20 rides, attractions and shows, York Maze is an amazing family day out. Get active on the Popcorn Pillow, have a laugh on the New Crowmania ride or take your seat for KerNoel’s House Party. Get lost in one of the mazes or take it easy in the sand and water play area. You’ll be amazed just how much there is to see and do. You won’t believe your eyes in the Maze of Illusions, you’ll be on your knees in the Mineshaft Maze, and who knows what your future holds in the Finger Fortune Maze. York Maze typically runs from mid-July to early September and is open from 10am to 6.30pm.
