Within a couple of shots, they will have you blasting clays from the sky – making this a fun activity with a competitive element.
This clay pigeon shooting experience is great for newcomers to the sport or experienced pros. The speed and direction of each clay can be adjusted to suit different skill levels. For £40 per person, you get a twenty-five shot package, or you can upgrade to a fifty shot package for £60 and depending on the size of your group it’ll last anywhere between one and two hours.
1. Determine your dominant eye:
Before picking up the gun you should determine your most dominant eye- just like whether you are left-handed or right-handed everyone has a master eye. To do this you can pick up an object across the room and point at it. Now close your left eye. If you can still see the object at the end of your finger this means that you are right eye dominant. If the object has moved away from your finger, open your left eye and close your right, without moving your hand. If you’re left eye dominant, the object will now be at the end of your finger!
2. Get comfortable with holding the gun:
Spend some time getting comfortable mounting the gun to your shoulder with it unloaded. You have a groove just inside your shoulder joint and this is where the butt of the shotgun should sit. Holding the shotgun in tightly will ensure you do not get hurt by the kick of the gun when you fire.
The North East Outdoor Pursuits Centre have lots of other exciting activities on offer ranging from paintballing, archery and adventure weekends!
