Ever wondered exactly how whiskey is made? Or are you a connoisseur looking for a unique new insight? The Old Bushmills Distillery is probably for you. Said to be the oldest licensed distillery in the world, Bushmills has been producing some of the best-loved whiskey for over 400 years!

As Bushmills say, “We’re not the best because we’re the oldest. We’re the oldest because we’re the best.

The tour of the facilities takes you right through the process of, for example, barley selection, mashing and the making of wort, fermentation and the triple distillation process. You are also given a fascinating look at the history of this extraordinary site. Tours are conducted in groups of up to 14 people and usually last around 45 minutes.

Do you get to taste any whiskey!

Yes, of course! The tour ends with an opportunity to taste the beautiful, smooth-tasting Irish whiskey, which you will have seen being made. (Or a refreshing glass of cola for the kids!)
