Plunge yourself headfirst into an underwater adventure at Exploris Aquarium; Northern Ireland’s only aquarium, reptile exhibition and seal sanctuary. Ideal for a family day out, gain a diver’s view of marine life from around the world. Gaze at the sunken galleon, shiver and the sight of the sharks, and go crazy for the snappy crocodile.

Is there somewhere we can eat while we're there?

Absolutely! If you're feeling as hungry as a sea monster, head on over to The Kraken Bar & Grill; the on-sight, fully licensed cafe and bar. Here you can sink your teeth into a whole range of delicious snacks and meals, including burgers, paninis, salads and soups.

Start close to home with a hands-on experience focused on the local lough and the Irish sea. Here you get an opportunity to touch some of the sea life. If you think you’re brave enough, why not give a small shark a belly rub? The friendly and helpful staff will be there to make sure you and the animals have well looked after. They’ll tell you all about marine life and will answer any questions you might have. Marvel at the colourful coral reefs in the Tropical Ocean zone, chatter with the Asian Short Clawed Otters and head on over to the popular Seal Sanctuary. Exploris Aquarium has been operating as a seal sanctuary since 1989, rehabilitating sick, injured or abandoned seal pups and you can observe them from a distance. Do not touch or feed the seals, however, for your safety and theirs. Round off the day with a visit to the largest tank on offer; the Ocean tank. It’s home to sharks, sting rays and even a rescued sea turtle named JC!
