Duthie Park was opened in 1883 and is beloved by the locals and visitors for its wonderful sights of the bandstand, fountain and ponds. The park has activities for all ages. The park has 3 play parks for children, astroturfed areas for ballgames such as basketball and football. Duthie Park is very well known for its winter gardens which are one of Europe’s largest indoor gardens and Scotland’s third most visited gardens. The garden is home to many different varieties of plants. Some of the rooms inside this giant greenhouse include the Temperate house, Fern house, Japanese garden and arid house which is one of the largest collections of cacti in Britain. with many more wonderful flower-filled rooms to visit.
