Botanic Gardens in Glasgow

Enjoy a nice relaxing trip into nature to escape the loud life of the city? Glasgow Botanic Gardens, found in the West End of Glasgow and managed by Glasgow City Council is regarded as the finest garden in Glasgow and its popularity is aided by the recently restored Kibble Palace, a spectacular Greenhouse designed by John Kibble that houses a National collection of tree ferns.

The garden offers a small range of tours for its visitors to experience and learn about the magnificent gardens, the tours are for guests over the age of 16 and are free of charge, lasting around an hour and finished off with tea and biscuits in the garden’s library building.

Glasgow Botanic Garden’s also recently saw the reopening of its Tearooms. The Tearooms can be found in the ex curator’s house near the Kibble Palace greenhouse. In addition to the new comfy indoor seating area, guests can take advantage of sunny skies and fresh summer air in the outdoor refreshment area found at the front of the house.

• Kibble palace open from 12 PM to 4 PM
• Main Range open from 1 PM to 4 PM
• Tearooms open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM
