Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye

Any visit to the Isle of Skye is incomplete without visiting Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, the ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod for 800 years.  With a wealth of history and clan legend, this is reputably the oldest continuously inhabited house in Scotland.

Dunvegan castle is Scotland's oldest inhabited castle and has a rich history dating back over 800 years, you will be taken around the magnificent building by an experienced tour guide.

Sir Reginald MacLeod (27th Chief) was the first Chief to open Dunvegan to the public in 1933 for charitable purposes two days a week. Since then, the number of visitors has risen from a few hundred to hundreds of thousands.
