Bristol Aquarium is your answer! With hundreds of different species of colourful aquatic life, and a range of different exciting displays, the kids certainly won't be bored. You can find the aquarium just a 20 minute walk away from Bristol Temple Meads station, or a 10 minute bus ride via the 8 or 9 bus to College Green, walking down past the side of Bristol Cathedral. and crossing the road at the traffic lights.

This colourful aquarium houses over 40 naturally-themed displays, where you can admire sea life from remarkable perspective and get up-close and personal like never before. From tropical sharks to piranhas, sea rays to puffer fish, there’s creatures big and small, from friendly to terrifying! Wander through the Underwater Tunnel and watch as these astonishing creatures zoom past your head in a riveting display.

Discover the native aquatic life of the shores of Britain at the Sunken Ship, a sunken voyage that has been overrun by a cast of colourful sea creatures, from the smooth-head shark to glowing jellyfish. Transport yourself to the warm climate of the Jungle at the Urban Jungle, where you’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and some of the world’s most unusual plants! Bristol is the only aquarium in the UK to feature such a botanical house, where you can take a stroll around the stingray display overlooking the aquarium, or journey through the Amazon pools, home to some of the largest (and most dangerous!) freshwater fish in the world.

Make your way to the Coral Seas, where you can immerse yourself in 250,000 litres of awe-inspiring displays, housing over 250 different species of colourful life found in coral reefs. Don’t miss the Learning Lab, where get close to Bristol Aquarium’s newly born life, from tiny catfish to juvenile sea-horses.
