Calling all birdwatchers!

The Cardiff Bay Wetland Reserve is the perfect way to escape the hubbub of the city without ever leaving Cardiff! The Wetland Reserve is owned and managed by The Harbour Authority, who developed the site into the wildlife wonderland it is today! The entire reserve spans an area of approximately 8 hectares, located on the northern shore of Cardiff Bay between St David’s Hotel and the River Taff. It was built on what used to be a salt marsh, so the area is home to a fascinating variety of plants and animals, including invertebrates, fish and other wildlife. It’s a great place to spot some excellent examples of local floral and fauna!
