Llyn Llydaw Lake in Snowdonia

Come and see one of the finest examples of natural beauty in Britain!

Llyn Llydaw is one of the most visited lakes in the United Kingdom, with thousands of walkers and hikers passing it every year on their way to the summit of Snowdon. It offers a spectacular panoramic view of the area, including the eastern flank of Snowdon (Wales’ highest mountain). It’s even rumoured that Llyn Llydaw is home to the Lady of Lake and therefore Excalibur, King Arthur’s legendary sword!

Where can I find Llyn Llydaw?

It’s located in Snowdonia National Park, on the eastern flank of Snowdon.

There’s a walk that takes you to the lake without going the full way up to Snowdon if you don’t fancy the full trek. It starts at the Pen y Pass car park and cafe and it finishes up there too.
