Where can I find outdoor activities in Scotland?

Head to the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre for an unforgettable Highlands experience, in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Choose from a great range of ashore or afloat activities in a fun family day out or take one of their bespoke courses.

Whether you want a fun family day out or want to learn a new skill, Loch Insh Outdoor Centre has got you covered. Their watersports centre is second to none, where you can take part in paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and canoeing among others all under the expert guidance of their staff. If you prefer to stay dry, then they have plenty of activities ashore. Take up the bow in archery, take a 2 day skiing course to master the snowy hills, or do something a little more relaxed with tranquil walking trails that run alongside Loch Insh (keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels and deer along the way!)

There are plenty of choices for those who’d like to extend their stay, with private apartments, cabins and B&B’s available to book. The Boathouse restaurant awaits hungry customers with a delicious menu of locally sourced and homemade food with stunning views. Don’t forget to take something home to remember your visit from the Bosuns Locker Gift Shop, with a great selection of apparel, toys, sweets and more. Loch Insh makes for a fantastic family day out or getaway holiday!
