Glentress has something for everyone, from a skills park and flowing blue trails to practice your bike skills to an 18 mile long black epic, with steep climbing, thrilling descents and plenty in between.

Where can I find mountain biking trails in the Scottish Borders?

Head to the world class mountain biking trails at Glentress, set deep in the beautiful Tweed Valley and blast down professionally sculped blues, reds, and blacks.

Glentress offers 7 mountain biking trails, bike hire from Alpine Bikes Glentress, paid parking and a café full of delicious cakes and sandwiches.  There is wheelchair accessible parking and plenty of walking paths adjacent to the trails if biking isn’t your style.

  • Trail maps can be downloaded on the Glentress Website
  • Bike wash facilities can be found in the lower car park.
  • The Gateway Building is open daily, weekdays from 9am – 4pm and 9am – 5pm at weekends.
  • The Peel Café is open daily, weekdays from 9am – 4pm and 9am – 5pm at weekends.
  • The Alpine Bikes Shop is open daily: 9am – 4pm. Bike Hire from 9am – 4pm.
  • Bikes can be hired from Alpine Bikes on their website before you visit.
  • Changing rooms, lockers and showers can be found in the Gateway Building.
  • Parking can be paid with cash or card and costs £5 for all day
