Keen Mountain biker? Looking for a challenging MTB trail centre and the fastest growing bike park in Britain? Then get yourself out to Afan Forest Park and try out one of their many MTB trails. From flowing single-track with hardpacked gravel to hillside epics featuring tight turns and technical descents Afan has it all. The park is easily accessed from the M4 and has a huge variety of riding given its close proximity to the main road network.
There is a whopping 130km worth of maintained trails from 6 different starting points, and even a small skills park to warm up or practice at! There are four official reds that range from 6km to 40km in length and really vary in difficulty level, check the website for a more detailed breakdown of the trails. There’s the giant 39km black route that is really the pinnacle of Afan and worth a visit any time you head there. There are also a pair of greens and a yellow set up for children and families that don’t often get counted as official trails but are worth a mention as well.
