Mountain Biking in Afan Forest Park

From flowing single-track with hardpacked gravel to hillside epics featuring tight turns and technical descents Afan has it all. The park is easily accessed from the M4 and has a huge variety of riding given its close proximity to the main road network.

Afan Forest Park is the place to go! Just a short drive north and featuring MTB trails for enthusiasts.

There is a whopping 130km worth of maintained trails from 6 different starting points, and even a small skills park to warm up or practice at! There are four official reds that range from 6km to 40km in length and really vary in difficulty level, check the website for a more detailed breakdown of the trails. There’s the giant 39km black route that is really the pinnacle of Afan and worth a visit any time you head there. There are also a pair of greens and a yellow set up for children and families that don’t often get counted as official trails but are worth a mention as well.
