Painshill Park Surrey

If you want to see some of the most beautiful scenery in Surrey look no further than Painshill Park. In this award-winning 18th-century landscape garden you are welcome to walk around the spectacular scenes. Winding paths will take you on a journey to discover beautiful buildings; stroll through the serpentine lake, wander through the woodland and prepare to be amazed by the crystal grotto with over 10 000 crystals sparkling over the lake!

Designed by Charles Hamilton between 1738 and 1773, after being inspired by Renaissance landscape paintings it is a living painting.  Painshill is regarded as one of the finest examples of the English landscape movement. There’s a reason that it is a well know film location- see for yourself the bridge and lake where the Netflix series Bridgeton was set! There are shorter accessible routes around the Serpentine lakes or why not make a full day out of it and bring a picnic or visit the tea room for refreshments.
