Photography Tour and Workshop in Iceland

Are you a budding photographer looking to take your skills to the next level? Landscape Photography Iceland are now offering a 6 day long photo workshop and tour of East Iceland, so why not sharpen your skills in one of the most naturally beautiful places on earth? Some of the locations you will be exploring are well known and others are remote and not that widely known or visited. One of the characteristics of Austurland (East Iceland) is its diversity; the deep narrow fjords, high mountains, small villages, rivers, canyons, waterfalls, sea stacks and puffins. The nature is always close by and the scenery is breath-taking wherever you go.

What do I need to bring with me?

Make sure you wear clothing according to the season and weather; it can obviously get quite cold. Good hiking boots are essential, as you will likely end up doing a fair bit of walking. Of course, you should bring your camera, tripod and drone if you have one.

This workshop starts at the Reykjavik airport as you board an Air Iceland Connect flight to Egilsstaðir. At the Egilsstaðir airport there will be a 4×4 rental SUV or a van waiting for you and you start exploring this part of Iceland. From Melrakkaslétta and Langanes in the north to Berufjörður in the south, to Borgarfjörður eystri in the east up to the deep valleys cutting into the highlands. East Iceland is the land of waterfalls in all sizes and shapes and deep river gorges with basalt columns. Included is your accommodation, breakfast on the tour, transportation and photo guidance. Your hosts are adventurous landscape and outdoors photographers with insane passion for Scandinavia and the Nordic countries.

  • Duration – 6 Days
