Since the 1900’s Brown’s Rowing Boats has been the place to hire a rowing boat, The boats that get rented out are traditional hand-built rowing boats, they are perfect for a leisurely row along the River Wear in the heart of Durham City.

  • Hire fees: adults £8.00, children £5.00, deposit £10.00
  • Dogs are welcome aboard.
  • Adult and children’s life jackets are available.
  • Adult supervision is required for under 16 years old
  • Open everyday including bank and summer holidays, 10.00am-6.00pm- last boat out is 5 pm
