Scottish Gliding Centre in Kinross

Want to learn to glide or just be flown a mile above sea level? Then why not go to come along to Kinross! At the Scottish Gliding Centre, you can experience both by choosing between the “Flight Experience” and the “Mile High Flight”. Fly in a two-seat dual-control glider with your instructor and have a brand new experience where you get to choose how it goes! You can be driving the glider, taking photos of the scenery or simply enjoying the experience and the views. The choice is all yours. This activity is such a great idea for a family day out because who is ever going to forget the day they flew a plane!

Drive on down to the Scottish Gliding Centre, where two different flying options await adventurous souls!

Gliding is weather dependent activity, but at the same time, different weather may give you a unique experience of flying while looking out over beautiful Scottish hills, picturesque lochs and winding rivers. So what are you waiting for? Come to Kinross and enjoy a fantastic day out!

  • Open Tuesday & Friday 10 am – 4 pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am – 4pm
  • Book online via email or telephone
  • Children under 18 will need parental consent to participate
  • Flyable weight is between 45 kg and 102 kg
  • Flyable height is between 152 cm and 188 cm
  • “Flight Experience” – 20 minutes, £95 per person
  • “Mile High Flight” – 45 minutes, £200 per person
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before booking to allow time for setting up and receiving a briefing from the flying instructor
  • Evening flights may be available (only from April to August)
  • Courses available for people to learn to fly as well as experiences that are just a short blast
