Sewing Workshop Cardiff

Are you interested in making your very own pair of pyjamas from scratch? Head to The Little Sewing Works in Cardiff for a relaxing day out!

Where can I learn sewing in Cardiff?

The Little Sewing Works in Cardiff and is a small business that gives you the choice of 15 different workshops! The venue is just a minute's walk from Cardiff Bay Railway Station, and there is meter parking available on nearby streets for those travelling by car.

While there are plenty of classes for those with sewing knowledge, and those who know their way around a sewing machine, if you have no experience sewing, not to worry – they also have beginner workshops. As part of this workshop, you will have to bring around 2-3 metres of your own fabric, so you are able to sew some beautiful patterns to take home.

Sewing tips

  • Mark out all the details on the pattern on your fabric before you start sewing.
  • If you’re sewing something for yourself, then make sure to carefully measure your body first to ensure a snug fit.
  • Beware of which needles you’re using – usually, the needles you buy will correspond to the thing you are sewing (thin needles for lightweight fabrics, thicker needles for denim etc). Check online for detailed guidance!

By the end of your workshop, you’ll be bringing home your very own homemade pair of cosy, pyjama leggings! The other workshops include beginner crochet, beginners knitting, 1-2-1 Tuition, dressmaking and more. So, if you’re looking for something relaxing to do this weekend while learning something new, then the Little Sewing Works in Cardiff is a fantastic option!

  • £55 for the sewing workshop.
  • Refunds are not available.
