Where can I find the Shantytown Heritage Park?

For those interested in experiencing what life was like in New Zealand, in the 1800s, the best day out for you would be Shantytown Heritage Park. Located on the Western side of the South Island, between the towns of Greymouth and Awatuna.

Shantytown Greymouth is a perfectly recreated town from this period, typical of what may have been found across the country at that time. It is set on a massive 5o0 acres of native rainforest, and there are multiple amenities, that would suit all ages. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience makeshift goldmines and milling operations, as they would have been at the time. Although, one of the main attractions is the steam train, which provides visitors with a return journey included in their admission fee. So, what are you waiting for?
