Why should I visit Thunder Park in County Down?

Thunder Park is a 14,000-square-foot purpose-built Action Sports training and recreational facility perfect for those looking to learn to skate or come and develop their skills!

At Thunder Park, there are BMX, Scooter, Parkour, & Skate facilities and clubs to use and join for visitors to make the most of when visiting the park and focus on safe participation with all the tips and tricks on how to be the best they can be! The main aim at Thunder Park is to make Action Sports accessible to everyone so they can offer lessons and group workshops tailored towards the novice skater with the end goal of offering a safe and fun first experience for all!

The ramps at the park are some of the best in Northern Ireland and are definitely worth checking out! They include Ireland’s only resin ramp, which are the safest ramps to use when learning new tricks due to the lack of friction it provides allowing skaters to slide down the ramp easily. These resin ramps make falling fun and almost pain-free!

Thunder park also has Ireland’s biggest foam pit, which is another great way for newcomers to learn new tricks and plummet into the safety of the foam pit! The pit is 16 by 24 feet in size and filled 5 feet deep with soft foam cubes to make the hardest of landings as soft as possible!
