Are you looking for somewhere to take that deep breath of ocean air into your lungs? Why not pay a visit to Southport Pier? With beautiful surroundings, an arcade, and the pier pavilion, this is the perfect place to visit for a relaxing trip to the seaside!
Why should I visit the Southport Pier in Merseyside?
A walk to the end of the Southport Pier will give any visitors access to incredible views across the North West and on a clear day they can even spot the neighbouring Blackpool and the coast of North Wales!
There are 1000 metres of Southport Pier, making it the second-largest pier in the country!
For those who struggle with the walk to the end of the pier, there is a pier tram that will take you straight to the end where visitors can grab a cup of tea in the pier pavilion and soak up the scenes of the surrounding views!
For the visitors who came to visit for a more traditional experience, Silcocks Funland, which can be found at the pier entrance, has a wide variety of amusements including the famous ‘Golden Gallopers’ carousel on the pier forecourt, entertainment indoors and you can also grab a traditional fish and chips!
