Come along to the Abbotsbury subtropical garden and see rare and exotic species from all over the world. This magnificent Victorian walled garden is set in 20 acres of woodland valley and is one of the best gardens of its kind in the world! There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy with a children’s play area, nature trail and sunken gardens.

Why visit this subtropical garden?

The Abbotsbury garden has been awarded silver at the Chelsea Flower Show at Hampton court so come and see for yourself why it’s so spectacular!

Children will love the wonderland sculpture trail where enchanting sculptures of celebrated characters from classic literature are modelled from the original illustrations and cast in bronze. See if you can spot Alice, the Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit and many more! The coffee shop is just before the ticket office at the Gardens and so can be enjoyed by all. All food and drinks are served using “Vegware” plates and cups. They are made using plants and are biodegradable and compostable and break down with food waste.
